Jarrod Scott Smith, 29, avoids jail for DV with Playstation

A man who hit his partner of eight years in the head with a PlayStation console and punched her in the face in front of their children had avoided jail because he had no similar offending on his record.

Jarrad Scott Smith was given a chance to clean up his act outside of jail when he was sentenced for two counts of aggravated common ******** and four breaches of protective bail conditions in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on Thursday.
