Fremantle inventor believes he has unlocked AFL helmet-concussion hurdle

An award-winning inventor has designed a helmet in a South Fremantle backyard workshop he hopes can substantially reduce concussion in contact sports.

Industrial designer Graeme Attey says test results prove his helmet design absorbs and attenuates “a significant proportion” of an impact via compression and how the ‘hit’ rolls through a system of ****** or spheres.
