Man *****, woman in hospital, another man charged after incident in Melbourne’s southeast

A man has been charged with ******* and attempted ******* following an incident in southeast Melbourne, that left another man ***** and a woman fighting for her life.

Police suspect the three people were involved in a “physical altercation”.

The man who ***** is yet to be formally identified.

Police were called to the house on Brady Road, Bentleigh East, about 8pm on Saturday.

A man found with critical injuries ***** at the scene.

Police said a 20-year-old Bentleigh East man was arrested at the scene.

He has since been charged with ******* and attempted *******.

He will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court later on Sunday.

“It’s believed a physical altercation took place between two males and a female,” police say in a statement.

The woman had life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
