WA senator Fatima Payman’s husband, Jacob Stokes, resigns as ALP staffer

Jacob Stokes has resigned from his policy adviser role in a senior WA Labor Minister’s office — just weeks after his wife, WA Senator Fatima Payman, sensationally quit the ALP over her push for recognition of the ************ State.

Mr Stokes told The Sunday Times that after “deep personal reflections and discussions with my wife” he had decided it was untenable to remain a Labor staffer.
