Ascot ******: One person is in police custody after a dramatic ****** along Great Eastern Highway

One person is in police custody after a dramatic ****** in Ascot on Saturday morning.

The ****** occurred along Great Eastern Highway just after 10.30am when a Holden Commodore lost control and left the road before hitting two vehicles nearby.

Police say the incident was not a pursuit, but that the driver of the Holden was “trying to evade police.”

There are no reported injuries and the driver of the Holden is now in police custody.

The West ***********’s photographers were on the scene just moments after the ****** unfolded.

The photographs show the grey Holden sustained significant damage in the incident.

The left lane of Great Eastern Highway – near the Tonkin Highway intersection – was temporarily blocked as police and tow truck crews cleared the scene.
