Popular Hampton restaurant closed after car crashes into building

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) – A popular restaurant in Hampton is closed until further notice after a car crashed into the building on Thursday.

Hampton Police said officers were dispatched to Tommy’s Restaurant, located at 3406 West Mercury Boulevard, around 2:43 p.m. for reports of a ****** at the restaurant.

Officers arrived to Tommy’s and found a single-vehicle had crashed into the side of the building, which was open and occupied at the time of the ******.

Due to circumstances Tommy’s restaurant will be closed until repairs are completed. We are thankful this happened at the end of the day and no one was injured.
