Two teens charged with starting a ***** that ******* two men as they slept have walked free from court after being granted bail by a magistrate, with loud gasps as the decision was handed down in court.

Phoenix Darren John Tims 19, and co-accused Atem Akoi Thon, 19, faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday after applying for bail.
