New Jersey father facing chargers after 8-week-old infant was left in hot car

On July 15, 2024, at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers from the Lakewood Township Police Department responded to a call reporting that an 8-week-old infant was in cardiac arrest. Despite the efforts of the emergency medical team, the infant was unfortunately pronounced ***** at the scene. Investigators say that the child had been left in the car for about 4 hours in extremely high temperatures, which was determined to be the cause of the child’s ******. Authorities now say the father of the child, 28-year-old Avraham Chaitovsky, was arrested and charged with endangering the ******** of a child.
