It also changed the name of its teaser trailer to the full name. The game features the urban legend of The Smiling Man, a figure that places bags over peoples’ heads — specifically crying ****** — and ****** them. It’s nice that a game series as old as Famicom Detective Club is getting a new entry, but it is disappointing that this wasn’t Nintendo’s at a new IP like many speculated. Nintendo has been pretty set in releasing new games in its established IPs and people were hoping for something different. That said, it is still an M-rated game from a directly-linked Nintendo IP, so we can’t be too ****. This new game follows the 2021 remakes of the original two games. Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club will apparently feature a “divisive” ending, so we can look forward to that.
