Even 7 Days to ****’s Early Alpha’s Didn’t Suffer From This Gamebreaking Bug in the 1.0 Release

7 Days to **** finally left early-access jail after over a decade, but seeing the recent complaints about it, maybe it needed a bit more time to cook.

One of the latest issues seems to affect a core aspect of the game, and if it keeps up, could lose players. Borderline game-breaking, The Fun Pimps might want to take a look at this as soon as possible.

7 Days to **** Suffers From Debilitating Framerate Bug

Previously, we’ve seen complaints about 7 Days to **** not having enough zombies or having extremely long crafting times that don’t make sense. Now, it’s a bug that impacts the average player’s experience and could drive some people away.

OP mentions that they experience a ton of stuttering while they’re in the crafting base, turning the game into a slideshow almost.

It’s to the point where they’re not able to access the workstation immediately. Instead, they have to hold the ‘E’ button, wait for the pop-up menu, and then select the option to open the workstation.

Having been a player since the game’s Alpha days, OP is starting to experience this only now. Did The Fun Pimps mess something up sometime between early access and the complete build?

As we’ve seen in other complaints, when people play in groups, they tend to split up and do different activities. If you’re someone who elected to stay back and craft, having your whole job be in a stutter-filled base with visible frame drops would drive anyone crazy.

OP’s Issue Might Not Be the Fault of the Game’s

Rather than jumping the **** and taking a dig at the developers, some helpful Redditors dropped advice to see if it was an issue with the game or OP’s system.

One reply suggested it might be a chunk issue, similar to what Minecraft players experience occasionally. Essentially, the world is split into ‘chunks’ that are constantly being loaded.

If there are a lot of active processes in a single chunk, then the game’s performance might take a toll, especially if you’ve not got the system to support it.

Another reply also brought up the chunk issue, while explaining to OP that 7 Days to **** could just be running poorly on their system. Restarting your computer and closing all active processes in the background might improve performance.

In a sort of plot twist, one reply mentioned that OP’s experience was, in fact, a bug that the team previously marked as having fixed. Yet, three people have complained about experiencing it since then.

Hopefully, The Fun Pimps can come up with a working solution for this as soon as possible.

Have you ever encountered any annoying issues like these in 7 Days to ****, and have they been fixed? Let us know in the comments below!
