Letter to the Editor: Grange Resources has not properly met with the people of Albany

Yes, Grange Resources has conducted three two-hour pop-up meetings in the small room upstairs at the Albany Public Library since the beginning of its proposal to mine magnetite at Wellstead (2001).

They have had much longer meetings with the Port of Albany, Main Roads department and any other government agencies that they need to include to get their proposal accepted.

They — and all the Government’s agencies — have ******* to properly meet with the people of Albany and hear our concerns.

Until such time as they do, they cannot honestly say that they have consulted the people of Albany properly.

That goes for the Premier, EPA, ministers for tourism, environment, mining and Southern Ports Albany.

None of them have answered our concerns, awaiting their replies.
