Titus and his Ultramarines are tasked with ridding the world of Tyranid swarms, as they are the main enemies and a huge part of the game. There has been a significant rise in the scale of these swarms. The game uses its own proprietary engine to achieve the large scale, which is the same one that was used for World War Z but with more enhancements and upgrades.

A previous version of the engine was used for World War Z; it allowed us to have 500 zombies on screen back then. However, with Space Marine 2, we had to go even ******* in terms of both quality and quantity.

The current game sets the tone for *********, which has never been seen before on screen, and its engine plays a huge role in making that possible. The game looks to build upon the foundation of games like World War Z.
