Dynamic Split Screen Mode Coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 with Patch 7

Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 is set for September 2024 and includes tons of bug fixes, improved kissing animations, evil ending cinematics, and the official modding toolkit for PC. This update also includes a new feature for players who prefer to play together on the couch in split-screen mode. Yes, dynamic split screen mode is finally coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 with Patch 7.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Dynamic Split Screen Mode Confirmed

Currently, each player has their own portion of the screen when playing in split-screen mode. This can be a bit distracting and gets in the way of immersion at times. However, with Patch 7, Larian Studios has confirmed that players can enable the Dynamic Split Screen Mode which merges the screens into a single one when players are close to each other. . The closed beta will go live on July 22, 2024. During this, you’ll be able to test out the new features and report any issues you find directly to Larian, similar to how it worked in the early access *******. This is only available on PC.

It’s great that Larian Studios is continuing to support the title, and the official modding toolkit will allow players to easily access development tools to create, and share mods.
