FromSoftware fans are no strangers to facing off against some of the most intimidating bosses. While Shadow of the Erdtree is arguably the most challenging experience that Hidetaka Miyazaki’s team has ever produced, it, too, was dominated through sheer perseverance at the end of the day.

Perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise, then, that one modder took it upon themselves to add the man himself as the true final boss of all Soulsborne games. He may not be any stronger than Consort Radahn, but he’ll undoubtedly test your love for Moonlight Greatswords and feet.

You Can Now Replace Miquella for Hidetaka Miyazaki as the Final Boss of Shadow of the Erdtree

From their dedication to uncovering and putting all pieces of lore together to creating some of the most impressive mods in all of gaming, the Soulsborne and Elden Ring community never ceases to amaze with all that they accomplish. This new instance is the clearest example of the mods bit.

, created by the very talented MRRCrychicQing, swaps out Promised Consort Radahn with Patches, now enlarged to Radahn’s size and equipped with two Moonlight Greatswords, all while wielding the power of the accursed Basilisks from Dark Souls.

As if that wasn’t wild enough, the second phase reveals Miyazaki himself, dressed in his signature suit and glasses, replacing Miquella.

While the mod is undoubtedly comical and daunting, turning an already tough ****** into a fitting final showdown for Elden Ring, you have to wonder – which community in its right mind would place the game’s creator as the true final boss of all FromSoftware games.

Admittedly, it is a fitting tribute to FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki while being meta in and of itself, with the man himself testing his fans against his greatest creation yet. It’s just a massive shame that he’s wearing shoes and isn’t barefooted in this mod, though; that takes some major points off of it.

There’s no doubt that Souls players themselves are capable of achieving some absolutely bonkers feats that none in any other gaming community would imagine.

Still, the Patches mod is an excellent reminder of just how versatile and impressive the Soulsborne modding community truly is, proving once again that no idea is too outlandish.

These mods are a testament to the dedication and creativity within the community. From minor tweaks to complete overhaul projects like Dark Souls Archthrones and even Elden Ring’s Convergence mod, the community continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Such projects often feel like sequels in their own right, offering fresh content and challenges that keep the game alive and evolving while also pushing FromSoftware into creating one spectacular experience after another.
