A Queensland woman has been remembered as a “caring friend” with the “biggest heart” after she was allegedly murdered by her de facto partner who led police on an hour-long police chase.

The body of Kierra-lea Jensen, 28, was discovered by police on Monday morning after they were called to the Flinders Dr address in the Ipswich suburb of Leichhardt to conduct a ******** check.

Police confirmed Ms Jensen was found with multiple critical stabs wounds.

The tragic discovery sparked a police search for her partner Kitchel Shillingworth, who was soon tracked down by Polair travelling in a Toyota sedan.

After he allegedly led police on an hour-long police chase, officers deployed a tyre deflation device and the car came to a stop at Ipswich Boonah Rd at Peak Crossing about 10.15am.

The 36-year-old has since been charged with Ms Jensen’s ******* and dangerous operation of a vehicle. He is due to appear before the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

A close friend, who wished to remain anonymous, said Ms Jensen always tried her best to help others in need.

“She would sit with you for hours listening and always had advice on whatever situation you were going through,” she told the Courier Mail.

“She always had a smile on her face and was always laughing.”

Ms Jensen was reportedly a much loved stepmother to a nine-year-old boy.

The friend said Ms Jensen “loved her family with all she had”.

On Monday evening, a search for a ****** believed to be connected to the alleged ******** was conducted in the Wyaralong Dam.

Detective Acting Superintendent Garry Watts said police were previously called to the home in the last week “as a result of information received”.

“No offences were detected. An investigation was conducted but there was no action taken,” he said.

“I am satisfied that the response that we provided last week was in accordance with our policies, and the appropriate action was taken but as you can imagine the entirety of the relationship between these two people will form part of our brief of evidence and will undergo scrutiny by the coroner.”
