A newcomer has sprung up in the heated contest to take control of a West ******** mineral sands miner based in Perth.

Leonoil — a petrol station owner controlled by a Sierra Leonean businessmen — wants to buy ASX-listed Sierra Rutile for 18¢ a share. The cash offer values Sierra Rutile at about $76.4 million and Leonoil has West Perth’s Sternship Advisers in their corner.
