Victim ID’d in deadly ****** involving suspected DUI driver going wrong way on I-10

One person ***** after their vehicle collided with another vehicle being driven the wrong way by a suspected ****** driver on Interstate 10 early Sunday, according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer David Torres said the ****** occurred at about 2:45 a.m. and involved a Jeep Wrangler that was traveling eastbound on the westbound side of the interstate between the Jefferson and Monroe exits. The ****** occurred when the Jeep and a Toyota Corolla driving the opposite direction attempted to switch lanes to avoid each other but ended up both switching into the same center lane, causing the two vehicles to ****** head on.

was pronounced ***** at the scene by ***** personnel. The driver of the Jeep was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Torres said he did not have the arrested driver’s name but would be able to provide it Monday.

Cal ***** also reported on social media that two other people were brought by ambulance to the hospital with what were described as moderate injuries but did not provide any other details.
