Man charged with ******* after body found in apartment complex in Box Hill, Melbourne

A man has been charged with ******* after police discovered the body of a man in an apartment block stairwelll in Melbourne’s east.

Emergency services were called to the complex on Young St in Box Hill about 7.45pm on Saturday following reports of an ******** in the foyer.

Upon arrival, police found two victims of an alleged ********, with one sustaining a minor facial injury.

A 42-year-old Box Hill man was then arrested at the scene.

After speaking with witnesses, police became aware that a third person had also been assaulted and they began a search of the building.

The attending officers soon discovered a man, who is yet to be formally identified, ***** in a stairwell.

Police believe both men were known to each other.

The 42-year-old man was taken to hospital under police guard but has since been charged with *******.

He has been remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
