Caleb Serong has declared Fremantle have not lost confidence in their finals credentials despite squandering an opportunity to cement their spot in the top four after a disappointing loss to Hawthorn.

The Dockers could have secured a top-two spot with a win in Launceston on Saturday but could slip as low as sixth on the ladder, depending on other results, after a 13-point defeat at UTAS Stadium.
