Shopping wars: Nationals backflip and call for 24-hour shopping in Perth CBD

Shopping hours are set to become a State election battleground, with WA Nationals leader Shane Love in an about-face on the issue, declaring Perth cannot be a global 24-hour city without deregulation.

In a major policy shift for the Nationals, who were once fierce opponents of more shopping time, Mr Love wants shops in Perth’s central business district to be allowed to open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
