**** of War Fan’s ****-Awful Suggestion Would Ruin Any Hype for the Next Game, and We Hope Santa Monica Ignores It

**** of War is one of the strongest first-party franchises under the PlayStation Studios banner. The developers have worked on the series for the past two decades and made some interesting and creative choices in expanding the lore and bridging the gaps between two different pantheons.

The gaming community has played the franchise across two different pantheons and the developers prioritized separating the gameplay and perspective. The Norse Saga concluded with Ragnarok and the fans are eager to see where Kratos will go next.

Not All Fan Ideas Are Suited for the **** of War Franchise

Santa Monica Studio has worked on this franchise for the past few years and made some interesting changes while leaping after Kratos wiped out all of the Gods of Olympus to the Norse Saga.

Some fans came up with a theory that could explain the various appearances of Kratos in different fighting games, and it suggests that these are all hurdles and roadblocks meant to slow the **** of War from reaching the Norse lands.

The franchise is in an interesting position where the developers could do anything they see fit. The original trilogy had a fixed camera position, and the Norse Saga introduced a new over-the-shoulder point of view to spice up the gaming experience.

The gaming community is suggesting a first-person perspective for the next chapter, which is not the best idea in the world.

The developers toyed around with the idea in previous games as Kratos was fighting his father, Zeus, and the same point-of-view was reused in the Helheim section of the 2018 sequel.

The combat would make it difficult for the players to adjust and likely suffer from massive headaches to see through the eyes of Kratos rather than looking over his shoulder.

David Jaffe envisioned the players playing a monster and brutally fighting and ******** enemies with the same line of sight could elevate the experience. It would be a nice option to have a first-person point-of-view but there will be severe consequences and will most likely be an uncomfortable experience.

Santa Monica Studio Could Do Something Creative With This Idea for a Spinoff

The gaming community anticipated Atreus to be playable at some point in the Norse Saga, however, his gameplay and combat style are not the best compared to his father’s brute force. Relying mostly on arrows for ranged attacks and for close combat, perhaps the developers could make some adjustments.

The developers also have a penchant for introducing new weapons for Kratos. Perhaps some of these could benefit from a first-person perspective as he moves on to a different pantheon beyond the Nine Realms.

The ending of Ragnarok and the Valhalla DLC hinted that there are more stories to tell with Kratos. Other cultures are available for the character to visit and fans are optimistic to see Kratos in Japan.

Not all suggestions are great and the first-person perspective idea could cause more harm than good. The developers shouldn’t gamble the franchise on experimental ideas.
