CORNING, N.Y. (

) — A Corning **** offender was arrested last week after police said he was responsible for creating child ***** in the city.

According to the City of Corning Police Department, 33-year-old Ryan M. Newman of Corning was arrested and charged on the following:

One count of predatory ******* ******** against a child, a class A-II felony.

One count of ********* ******* act in the first, a class B felony.

One county of ******* ****** in the first degree, a class D felony.

Police said that on Tuesday, July 2, the City of Corning Police Department and the FBI got a complaint of explicit photos of a child being shared over the internet.

Large ***** breaks out under Clemens Center Parkway Bridge

The report led to a ****** investigation that revealed Newman lived and created the images within the City of Corning.

Police said that through the investigation, they determined that Newman engaged in ******* conduct with the child.

Police learned that Newman is currently a level 3 registered **** offender in New York State with a previous conviction of a ****** against a child.

Following the arrest, Newman was processed at the Corning Police Department before he was taken to the Steuben County Jail where he was held without bail.

Police said this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges are expected to be filed soon.
