( This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up ) – It’s been a little bit over a week since Fresno’s newest splash pad, which cost the city $1.6 million, opened -now, it has temporarily closed, Fresno Parks and Recreation said on Thursday. Fresno Parks and Recreation said the splash pad is temporarily closed due to maintenance and updates will be provided as they become available. Fresno’s new $1.6M splash pad is now open The new splash pad opened on July 3 at Fink-White Park. Fresno’s Mayor Jerry Dyer and Councilmember Miguel Arias gathered to join the community and talk about the splash pad and the importance of having it in the area. On the opening day, Dyer said that the splash pad was the first splash pad west of Highway 99 and South of Highway 189. He said the construction costs for the splash pad were $1.6 million.
