A bright blue-skinned magnificent tree frog discovered for the first time in the Kimberley has astonished scientists, with researchers attributing the discolouration to a rare genetic mutation.

The blue magnificent tree frog, usually green with white spots across the back, was photographed by a team from *********** Wildlife Conservancy at Charnley River-Artesian Range Wildlife Sanctuary on Wilinggin country.
