Cannington pursuit: Injured teenage cyclist who was almost arrested accepts Col Blanch’s apology

The teenage boy who was hit by a stolen car engaged in a pursuit has accepted an apology from WA’s top cop after police mistakenly tried to arrest him as he lay face down and barely conscious last week.

Police swarmed Wharf Street in Cannington on Tuesday after officers sighted an allegedly stolen blue Skoda hatchback on Albany Highway around 12.30pm.
