Friends, peers reflect on loss of 17-year-old girl found ***** in Hendersonville

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Macon County High School student said she tried calling her friend dozens of times days before she was found ***** in Hendersonville.

On July 3rd, a TDOT subcontractor found the body of 17-year-old Trinity Bostic in a small wood line near Vietnam Veterans Boulevard.

A week after her disappearance, Hendersonville police arrested a 17-year-old from Westmoreland on first-degree ******* charges.

“She was a firecracker that is for sure. She would always be smiling, she would literally light up any room that she walked into,” Khloe Redfield said.

Redfield said Trinity Bostic was one of her good friends. Trinity was a soon-to-be senior at Macon County High School.

“She actually had texted me that she was running away from home. But I didn’t believe it at all until the sheriff’s office for Macon County came knocking on my door at 10 or so that night,” Redfield said.

On June 29, according to the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, they received a runaway report that night. The sheriff’s office traced Trinity’s phone to Sumner County and a BOLO was sent out.

Days later, her body was found in a small wood line in Hendersonville.

Class president Landon Connor said the community is now wrapping their heads around the tragedy. “It was a shock.”

A week after her disappearance, a 17-year-old boy was charged in connection to Trinity’s ******.

“He actually went to school with us, and he was in our grade, and I talked to him a couple of times, but I didn’t really know him,” Connor said.

At this time, Hendersonville police have not identified the suspect because he is a minor.

However, Redfield said something felt off when she tried reaching out to Trinity the day she went missing. “I tried calling her 32 times that night and knowing Trinity she would have answered one of those calls.”
