FromSoftware’s magnum opus, Elden Ring, continues to surprise and delight players with the release of its first major DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, which was released just last month.

While the expansion focuses on uncovering the mysteries surrounding Miquella and the Erdtree’s true power, a nice little Easter egg contains a surprising inspiration source: Marvel’s Wolverine.

Logur’s ****** Claws Are a Marvelous *******

The character Logur wields a ******* that Marvel fans will recognize instantly as the ****** Claws. These aren’t just any ordinary weapons, they bear a striking resemblance to the hero’s iconic claws. These Claws can be obtained after defeating him, and he’s found southeast of the Site of Grace at the Gravesite Plain. 

It took me way too long to realize Logur the ****** Claw is a Logan/Wolverine reference.

Wolverine is a character from Marvel Comics who is famous for his adamantium claws that can cut through almost anything. The resemblance in Elden Ring is uncanny, and it’s clear the developers were paying homage to this legendary superhero.

These claws are not just a visual treat but also a powerful tool in battle. They allow for fast, deadly strikes, much like Wolverine’s own fighting style. The way Logur uses them in the game feels like a perfect tribute to his ferocity and combat prowess. It’s worth noting that there was a ****** Claw version in Bloodborne as well, although not at all similar to Wolverine’s claws.

Fans of the character will see the similarities in how Logur carries himself and how he interacts with the player. It’s a fun and unexpected crossover that adds an extra layer of enjoyment for players. Finding these little nods and references makes exploring the game world even more exciting. Plus, it’s always cool to see different fandoms intersect in such creative ways.

The inclusion of a Marvel reference in Elden Ring is an interesting choice, given that the studio doesn’t usually directly reference other media unless it’s Berserk. It could be a way for FromSoftware to acknowledge the influence of popular culture on its own work.

Wolverine, known for his unwavering determination and brutal fighting style, shares some thematic similarities with the Tarnished warriors of the game. Perhaps it’s a subtle way to pay homage to a character who embodies similar qualities of ferocity and *********. Given that this Easter egg was just discovered weeks after the expansion was released, it’s likely there are plenty more references and smaller details that have gone unnoticed so far.

This ******* is just one of the expansion’s many fresh new additions. The expansion also brings a variety of other new weapons and armor to the game. These items are not just visually stunning and fun to play around with, but also come with unique abilities and stats that can significantly alter your playstyle.
