The game will still be playable as the servers are still live, but no new content will be coming. With the end of Season 4 on July 11, Exoprimal will officially end live service and produce no further content. However, old season passes will still be available at a discounted price. Some people are pointing fingers at Xbox Game Pass for Exoprimal’s untimely demise. Xbox Game Pass is Being Blamed for Exoprimal’s End The game’s untimely demise was in the making for a long time. Some people are claiming that if the game had not been lucky, it would’ve ended in 3 months instead of a year because it was not advertised and marketed properly. One person outright blamed Xbox for their alleged involvement in the title’s end. They expressed their opinion via X. They said: Gamepass ****** single players AND Multiplayers too ****** me shocked!! — Snuubz (@SnuBz87) This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up However, another user brought forward a contradicting opinion, bashing the former by saying: Gamepass helped it. Brought players and money in to Capcom Unfortunately, nobody bought the game on PS5 (as usual). Hint: the same thing will happen to Kunitsu Gami. No one will buy it on PS5 & the only revenue will be from GP Sad! — SouthSac homie (@southsouthsac) This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Xbox’s involvement in the game’s destiny was not a bad decision, as it gave it a platform it could not make for itself. Game Pass helped in increasing the reach of the game, which was walking on a very thin line as it has been since the very beginning. Capcom announced the end of live service for the game via a note posted by them on the official This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up of the game. They still have running servers, so the game is accessible, but it’s life as a live online multiplayer shooter is at an end. All gameplay modes, including the main Dino Survival mode, as well as endgame content such as Savage Gauntlet and Time Loop Rebellion, are still available to play. The game is also narrative driven and can be enjoyed solo as well. Although it was initially released with a focus on its multiplayer audience with a large reach on a live content model, this did not work in their favor. The Game’s Plans for the Future Some plans are in place for the future of the game. Image Credits: Capcom After the end of season 4, on July 11, the game will be adapting to a recyclable model for the release of their future seasons, starting on the first of every month. Capcom will be releasing season 1 again and then continuing the same until season 4. In addition to this recyclable model, season passes from 1–3 will also be put on *****. Capcom has confirmed that the game will still be very much available to be played and enjoyed, both solo and online. Online mode will add bots to the game if matchmaking is not up to par so as to not provide a bad experience to its players. Exoprimal was anticipated to be a success for the developer; however, the game does not even feature on Capcom’s platinum selling titles, which means that it has sold less than a million copies till date.
