It is a long-running debate where fans still mourn its demise. Beenox was said to have developed the mode. Fans believe it was Activision who called the shots for Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, as it was released with a campaign only. A fan recently came up with his own theory as to why they were deprived of the multiplayer mode in the first place. The visually enhanced version of the original game was indeed a fun experience, but the inclusion of multiplayer might’ve upped its game.
