Rainbow Six Siege EWC Qualifiers Are Heating Up

It started with the four Brazilian frontrunners making it to the Esports World Cup, and now the rest of the world is following. In recent days, the likes of Geekay and Bleed Esports qualified for the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, joined by Team Cruelty, Team Bliss, and PSG Talon. From the Brazilian side, FaZe Clan, w7m Esports, Team Liquid, and FURIA are all fielding a team, which collectively makes up some of the most formidable talent in the Rainbow Six Siege scene.

Rainbow Six at the Esports World Cup

Between July 31 and August 4, the Rainbow Six Siege portion of the Esports World Cup will unravel. On the grandest stage in the world, the best Rainbow Six teams will collide, all of them desperate to snap up the lion’s share of the massive $2 million prize pool. For the ultimate victor, there’s a special prize reserved worth $750,000 and a staggering 1,000 Club Points.

Of course, those Club Points are arguably more important than the cash prize – the organisation with the most at the end of the EWC will win the Club Championship and walk away with $7 million.

Right now, all eyes are on the North ********* and ********* qualifiers for the EWC. In NA, there are high hopes that C9 Beastcoast will make it to the EWC. In May, the team stormed to victory at the BLAST R6 Manchester Major, securing the organisation’s first major trophy and beating all comers to make history. Following a merger that linked the team up with C9, there are high hopes for this particular squad.

If I had to place predictions, I’d say that C9 BC, DarkZero, and SSG will make it through to the EWC. The NA qualifiers will run from today to July 7.

In Europe, some of the most capable Rainbow Six players in the world are shaping up to break into the Esports World Cup. The frontrunners are Team BDS and Team Secret, then the third-place qualifier will likely go to Wolves or ITB at this point. There are hopes that G2 will make it to the EWC, but a lacklustre performance of late has made fans doubt their abilities.

The EU qualifiers will also run from today, June 5, to Sunday, June 7.
