Diablo 4’s Early Builds Hated this ******, and Season 5 Has Brought a Stronger, More Horrifying Version to ******

While Diablo 4 players are fully invested in season 4, many can’t wait for Diablo 4 season 5. The said season won’t come for some time more as it is scheduled for early August, but to prepare for the new content, Blizzard recently opened a Public Test Real (PTR) server which lasted from June 25 to July 2. 

The server allowed players a glimpse into a variety of new features firsthand, including a fearsome new incarnation of a classic Diablo ******, the Butcher. This time around, The Butcher will come in a new iteration, The Burning Butcher.

The world of Diablo is quite a dismal place full of gore and horror, but it is a pretty solid excuse to hunt for demons and monsters. One of those monsters is The Butcher. This mass of muscle and malice has been a part of the franchise since the debut title and has earned the name of a recurring nightmare. 

Over the years, The Butcher was a guaranteed boss encounter, and players more often than not fell victim to its cleaver. In Diablo 4, this long-standing ****** was reduced to a random number generator (RNG).

It could appear behind every dungeon door, but the players have testified that the rate is pretty low. Nevertheless, its rarity made the victory all the sweeter. 

Now, the Diablo 4 Season 5 Public Test Realm revealed something that got players on their feet as the new version of the infamous ****** spawned during one player’s raids.

YouTuber Rizarjay gave other Diablo 4 enthusiasts a glimpse of the ******* that awaits in Season 5 as he captured The Burning Butcher encounter in the PTR. While the ****** was rather brief, it shed light on a nightmarish new version of a familiar foe. 

The Butcher didn’t just change its name; it has received a redesign with burning horns and cracks in the skin that glow like embers. This short battle happened during the endgame of Tier 3 Infernal Horde as the ****** started growling its infamous line, “Fresh Meat.“.

The YouTuber himself admitted that their character was already overpowered and he played on a low-difficulty setting, which resulted in a quick and positive ending. 

Despite how quickly the YouTuber defeated Blizzard’s infamous creation, it is safe to say that The Burning Butcher won’t fall down that easily in Diablo 4 Season 5 when it launches on August 6. 

In addition to The Burning Butcher, the next season will bring a ton of new content, including new legendaries, uniques, and items, as well as some quality-of-life improvements that will make the game enjoyable for both veterans and new players alike.
