) warned of “intermittent closures” on eastbound Route 90 from Route 589 and westbound lanes from 62nd Street in Ocean City back on to Route 90.

By about 8:30 p.m., the department offered an update saying Route 90 would transition to one-way flagging operations during repairs, but the bridge is open to traffic today. However, due to the repair work, the department urged motorists to consider the alternative of Route 50.

Travel advisory: RT 90 will experience intermittent closures due to repairs to a sinkhole near the base of the bridge. E/B Rt 90 from Rt 589 & W/B lane closures from 62nd St onto Rt 90 will be intermittently closed.
