***** Rising Deluxe Remaster will be released in September, Capcom has announced.

As confirmed during Capcom Next, the remaster of the 2006 game will be released on September 19, 2024.  The remaster will include quality-of-life improvements such as auto-saving, revamped controls, improved UI, and more.

Capcom also confirmed that the game will be remastered using the RE Engine, Capcom’s versatile engine behind its recent string of hits.

“Characters’ facial expressions, material textures, and blood spatter all look much more realistic. Overwhelming hordes of zombies fill the screen with completely remade graphics.”

The game’s digital deluxe edition will include 17 extra costumes for Frank, and 17 music tracks that will be played throughout the in-game mall.

Developed by Capcom Japan and produced by Keiji Inafune, the original ***** Rising was released in 2006. It received an HD remaster for modern platforms in 2016.

The game stars protagonist Frank West, a photojournalist who gets trapped in a zombie infested shopping mall in the fictional town of Willamette, Colorado.
