Darkest Dungeon 2 is coming to Xbox consoles this month too

Darkest Dungeon 2 will be released for Xbox consoles this month, developer and publisher Red ***** Studios has announced.

Following its full PC release last year, the well-received turn-based RPG will now hit Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch on July 15.

Red ***** confirmed PlayStation release plans for the game in April and Switch launch plans in June.

“Darkest Dungeon II is a rogue-lite turn-based road trip of the damned,” according to Red *****. “Form a party, equip your stagecoach, and set off across the decaying landscape on a last gasp quest to avert an apocalypse caused by your own failures. The greatest dangers you face, however, may come from within the group.

The PC version of the game was released in early access in 2021 before seeing a full release in May 2023.

The game, which has a score of 81 on review aggregation site Metacritic, is currently discounted as part of Steam’s Summer *****.
