George R.R. Martin Offers Cheeky Response To Elden Ring Film Rumors

While he may be focused on Westeros, author George R.R. Martin might be looking at bringing The Lands Between to the silver screen in the future–or even the small screen. The man famously known for Game of Thrones had quite an intriguing reply about the scuttlebutt regarding an Elden Ring movie.

about a possible Elden Ring film unprompted. “Oh, and about those rumors you may have heard about a feature film or television series based on ELDEN RING… I have nothing to say,” he said. “Not a word, nope, not a thing, I know nothing, you never heard a peep from me, mum mum mum. What rumor?

Now Playing: Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC Review

From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki got the ball rolling when he said “there’s interest” in making a film adaptation of Elden Ring. Miyazaki added that they would need a “very strong partner,” and Martin definitely fits that criterion as a producer on HBO’s Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. Plus, for those who don’t remember, Martin helped out on Elden Ring.

For his part, Martin still seems busy with his own fictional fantasy universe. For instance, he recently stated that HBO is developing his Game of Thrones spin-off 10,000 Ships. Then there is the fact the author still has hundreds of pages to go to finish The Winds of Winter, the sixth book in A Song of Ice and *****–what the Game of Thrones TV show was based on.

Meanwhile, Miyazaki has revealed that he’s not the most-skilled gamer: “I absolutely ***** at video games.” So you’re not alone at struggling with Elden Ring, and GameSpot even has a guide on how to get better at the game. For more, check out our Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree review.
