Sparking Zero New Gameplay Alludes to Many Potential Huge Changes in the Established Lore

Only the sky will be the limit for fans in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero when they’ll get to play a story the way they want to. We already know that the game is getting a separate mode to play episodic battles from different arcs. But it will be more than just nostalgia.

Fans may play out a certain moment accordingly; however, the outcome will still remain the same. But that’s also an affirmation to stay true to the end; as they have witnessed, bad guys will always fall. How? That’s something for them to figure out.

There might still be some anger against Crane Hermit Master Shen. Maybe some still wants to beat the pulp out of Spopovich when he did the same to Videl. Maybe the Episode of Bardock would make more sense if it happened against Frieza and not his ancestor Chilled.

So many maybes may get a chance for executions in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero after recent details were revealed. One fan dubbed Zero Gravity shared a clip on X (formerly

) from the footage IGN got to see during Gamescon.

The ****** in focus is from the Saiyan arc, where Goku is up against Raditz. We all know the outcome but the clip implies ‘endless possibilities’ to reach it.

One fan called Ben Tennyson has his own set of predictions as to what will happen if certain moments are played a certain way.

Another fan with an account named Your Trues Tactician still have some doubts but thinks it would be great way to blend various Dragon Ball media.

We already have Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero pulling things straight out of movies. Could pieces from other media be banded into one? It sounds great on paper.

That is one game players are already saying is peak. Adding different sagas from the series is sure to cement this fact. Though this won’t be the first game to feature alternate battles in the narrative, Dimps’ Budokai series did something similar in 2002.

It focused on the first three arcs: the Saiyan Saga, the Frieza Saga, and the Cell Saga. While the alternate outcome in Cell Saga comes to pass as a dream, the other two see the antagonists go on to win their respective battles. Still, Sparking Zero won’t be altering the timelines so rest assured.

The spiritual successor to Budokai Tenkaichi is set to release in the same months as the others, which gives us just over three months from today. Players can surmise the battles they may get into when the game arrives.

How are you planning to end the battles that follow in the game? We would like to know your strategies in the comments section below.
