Diamond Member Pelican Press 0 Posted June 30, 2024 Diamond Member Share Posted June 30, 2024 The Last of Us Part 3 Has a *******-Inducing Option to Really Mess With Us The Last of Us is one of the rare video game experiences that takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting that resonated well with the gaming community. Exploring places before the Outbreak, players embark on a journey to save humanity from a deadly fungal virus. The possibilities are endless in this genre where Naughty Dog can toy around with the theme of the undead. The developers could expand the reach of the Cordyceps to other living creatures like animals which could be an interesting addition for the inevitable sequel. Naughty Dog Could Add Infected Animals for The Last of Us Part 3 Infected humans may not be the biggest threat in The Last of Us if this new concept came to pass. Image Credit: Naughty Dog Naughty Dog has brought the stuff of nightmares into reality and director Neil Druckmann hinted at the possibility of The Last of Us Part 3 after celebrating the fourth anniversary of the controversial sequel. The gaming community is disgusted by the character design of infected variants like the Clickers and Bloaters, and both of these were based on human physiology and some begin to wonder what it would look like if it affected other living creatures. ***** no, I’ll have nightmares for years. — Joseph Clarke (@clarkejoseph49) This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up The sequel already introduced the players to dogs trained to ***** both infected and non-infected enemies by the WLF, perhaps the next chapter will introduce a deadlier variant with heightened strength that can tear the playable character to pieces. The developers improved the ****** variety in the sequel and they barely scratched the surface. The post-apocalyptic setting gives the developers enough material to work with and to let their creativity take over. The sequel was renowned for having the best gore animation and physics, having new ****** variants in the form of animals could allow the developers to expand the lore and better explain how the Cordyceps infection works. Infected Animals Could Push the Boundaries for The Last of Us Infected animals could make some players uncomfortable to play The Last of Us Part 3. Image Credit: Naughty Dog The addition of dogs in the sequel raised some eyebrows within the gaming community. Naughty Dog pushed as far as the team could go and not everyone was comfortable having to ****** and take down an innocent animal trained to do. The developers became ambitious in the sequel and introduced the Rat King, the ultimate abomination of the Cordyceps virus that evolved since day one of the outbreak, and the gaming community was filled with ******* the moment it went to frame. The variant caused a massive reaction from the community which could motivate them to add even more. Adding more enemies will give the players a new challenge. The Seraphites in the sequel were a new ****** faction with different but much deadlier methods and relied on more primitive weapons like bows and arrows which forced the players to play differently, perhaps infected animals would up the stakes. It will only be a matter of time before the gaming community will be clamoring for something new and infected animals could do the trick. Perhaps a new ****** type will expand the lore and give the players a better understanding of the virus. Would you like to see infected animals in The Last of Us?
