Payday 3 is getting an offline mode… kinda

Payday 3’s launch has been less-than-stellar, but developer Starbreeze still looks to have some drive to make it better, or at least try. One such feature that is notable is an “offline” mode, but really it’s just a solo mode, making it easier for players to just jump in rather than wait for other players to step into the heist. that future iterations and updates will introduce fully-offline play, but it’s been a promise for some time and we’re no closer to that reality since you’ll still need the server connect to to access the beta mode and a connection to upload your progress.

While Payday 3 itself isn’t bad, especially compared to its launch, it’s far from ideal compared to its precursor, with plenty of performance issues, content issues, and a general lack of innovation to warrant its existence. It also doesn’t help that this particular game is a live service extraction shooter, which is a very much saturated at this time.
