DrDisrespect has just posted a lengthy statement on social media admitting to messaging a minor in 2017, an event that ultimately led to him being permanently banned from the platform in 2020. He stressed that he did message said minor but there were no ‘real intentions behind these messages’ and that the conversations were ‘casual’ but ‘sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate’.

He broke down the situation and vehemently refuted the labels that have been cast upon him in the last few days, stating that being called a predator hurts him deeply because ‘anyone that truly knows me f***ing knows where I stand on those things with those types of people’.

These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. Given that the incident occurred in 2017, it now seems that Dr Disrespect – whose real name is Guy Beahm – fully went off the rails around then. That was also when he appeared on stream having a breakdown while admitting to cheating on his wife. Could this have all been connected?
