Since the release of ******'s Souls, FromSoftware's RPGs (the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring) have incorporated cooperative play in a way that many players see as unnecessarily limited and cumbersome, making full co-op playthroughs of any Souls game difficult to manage.
