As long as you can convince him you aren’t, he will tolerate you for a short time. After passing this check, we recommend planning his demise and getting as many hits against him or his elementals as you can. Once you ***** Aelis Siryasius in BG3, you will have unhindered access to the closed-off treasure in his den, and Sarin’s Skeleton. The reason you should take him out is because he will be hostile the moment you return to his den regardless. Passing the persuasion check with Aelis will only give you safe passage once. After that, he doesn’t want to see you return. You should simply take the opportunity to get rid of the problem in the area. Aside from the treasure in the den, you can solve the Sarin’s Skeleton puzzle with no issues now that the danger is gone. However, you’ll need to leave the Lower City Sewers and enter the Undercity Ruins for the solution.
