Slitterhead is the latest game from Keiichiro Toyama, creator of the Silent Hill series, and will be the first title from his new development company, Bokeh Game Studio. Slitterhead was first revealed in 2021, and since then, it has been one of the most-anticipated upcoming horror games despite knowing very little about it simply because of the pedigree of its development team.

Slitterheard Preorder Bonuses

Slitterhead has a Day 1 physical edition that comes with some cool bonus content. You’ll get the official soundtrack on CD, a 100-plus page art book, a sticker sheet, and a custom box. The Day 1 edition is only available while supplies last. ’s listing claims Slitterhead launches on August 11, but it won’t be available until November 8. We’re waiting on physical edition preorders to go live at other major retailers.

You wishlist the digital version of the game on Steam, PSN, and the Xbox Store. It’s unclear at this time if the digital version will come with any bonuses.

Thanks to a new Slitterhead trailer shown at Summer Game Fest, fans finally got a taste of gameplay. The trailer showed players wielding melee weapons, guns, and supernatural powers against grotesque monsters stalking neon-soaked city streets. The fast, dodge- and parry-focused combat is certainly a different direction from what Toyama took with the Silent Hill games, but the dark tone and unsettling creature designs are appropriately horrific.

There’s still a lot more we don’t know about Slitterhead, but with only a few months left before launch, fans won’t be waiting much longer.
