Helldivers 2’s Cyberstan Being Terraformed as We Speak Has Fans Looking Back at Helldivers 1, and It Could Be Bringing a Real Problem for Players

The Helldivers 2 lore and universe are expanding as we speak, and one of the latest updates brings us news about the icy world of Cyberstan, one of the five Valdis Sector planets. The former home of the Cyborgs, it looks like the Automatons have some big news planned for it.

Meanwhile, to some players, it looks like an excuse for the developers to go easy on the content they’re pushing out. But is that really the case?

Helldivers 2 will soon introduce a familiar planet back into the mix.

The online co-op shooter drops hints and foreshadows future content through in-game directives, messages, graphics, and more. One of the newest pieces of information seems to tell players that we’ll all be going on a trip to Cyberstan.

According to the news, a database from the Automaton faction has been captured and decrypted, resulting in the discovery of many things. The bots are planning a “massive terraforming project” across the entire planet.

Some other bits of the decoded data include detailed records of the impact of the Terminid Supercolony, and some important keywords have been constantly mentioned in the data: Vessel 00, Nucleus, and The Final Collective. Analysts continue to decode the piles of data, and the news ends with one clear direction:

On the Automaton front, Cyberstan is once again our target.

It looks like we’ll be going to the icy planet soon. It was originally the home of the Cyborgs until Automatons invaded the planet.

The planet was best known for its mines, so there has to be something fishy going on, lore-wise, for the Automatons to want to terraform the whole region.

Fans can think of one big reason why Cyberstan would be terraformed.

A lot of theories have been floating around regarding this whole mess, but some players feel the terraforming aspect of the new lore extends beyond the game’s confines.

One player mentioned that the whole thing could just be an in-game lore excuse for the developers to offload some of the work of developing the planet’s landscapes.

Another player had the same concern, and hopefully, it isn’t the case. There was one post that sought to ***** into some of the keywords mentioned in the message, like the ‘Nucleus.’

It seems the lore references some aspects of the first Helldivers, and we could see the return of more familiar enemies, like the Cyborg Siege Mech.

There’s one player’s theory about Vessel 00 in the message being the capital ship that carried the Automaton force that took over Cyberstan.

A reply suggested the final mission for the planet could be destroying the whole base and ending it for good, which would be an epic sight to see.

What do you think the message is hinting at? Any theories? Let us know in the comments below!
