Disney Lorcana: Shimmering Skies Expansion Available For Preorder At Best Buy

The Disney Lorcana TCG has been on a roll lately, adding multiple new sets and even a new co-op gameplay format in 2024 already–and soon, the next expansion, Shimmering Skies, will add dozens of new cards and introduce characters like Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen’s Elsa to the card game. Lorcana: Shimmering Skies launches August 9 for local hobby shops and on August 23 for major retailers, but preorders are available now at Best Buy. This includes new pre-made decks, individual booster packs, booster boxes, and more.

One of the new releases is the Lorcana: Shimmering Skies Illumineer’s Trove. This $50 package comes with eight Shimmering Skies booster packs (12 cards per booster), gameplay counters, six dice, and six storage dividers for organizing your collection in the box.

You can also grab Shimmering Skies pre-made decks for $17 each. There are two new decks on offer–one featuring Elsa and Wreck-It Ralph, and another with Scar and Kronk. However, if you preorder at Best Buy, the deck you get is selected randomly. Both include a 60-card deck, one Shimmering Skies booster pack, a set of counters, a quick start guide, and a playmat.

If you are looking to get as many of the new cards as possible, the Shimmering Skies booster box comes with 24 booster packs. Each booster includes 12 random cards for a total of 288 cards in the box, giving you a huge pool of cards to build decks with.

Lorcana: Shimmering Skies booster packs are also available for preorder. You can grab individual packs for $6 each.

While not specifically part of the Shimmering Skies expansion, a new Lorcana: Gateway set is also available for preorder. The set is designed to help new players jump into the game for the first time and includes two pre-made 30-card decks plus four bonus packs with 18 cards each, for a total of 132 cards in the box. You also get a rulebook, guidebook, deck tip pamphlets, game counters, and a gameboard

Finally, there are also two new Lorcana deck boxes available for preorder as well, one featuring art of Princess Tiana and the other Aladdin. Both can fit up to 80 cards.

All of these new Lorcana packs release at major retailers on August 23, and preordering from Best Buy means they will be delivered on launch day.
