The studio confirmed that Elden Ring has sold over 25 million copies since its launch, making it one of the best-selling games in its history. Only a potential Elden Ring 2 or another major saga could surpass this feat, like GTA 6, which is expected to launch next year.

The studio and team behind the game confirmed this sales information on social media today, thanking players for joining the 25 million Tarnished community. Prior to its announcement and official release confirmation, the expansion was one of the hottest topics among the FromSoftware game community. Once the first trailer was revealed, the excitement doubled, and now it is finally set to release in just a few days.

There is a ton of information available about this new DLC, where players can access a completely new area, along with an array of never-before-seen weapons and imposing final bosses. However, to access the new story content, players will need to have defeated several of the game’s toughest bosses and reach a minimum level requirement to enter.

On June 21, Shadow of the Erdtree will be available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
