Stranded surfer rescued in California after spelling out ‘HELP’

A kite surfer that became stranded on Davenport Landing Beach in California was rescued after a private helicopter pilot spotted the word “HELP” spelled out with rocks and alerted the authorities.

The California Department of Forestry and ***** Protection helicopter crew airlifted the surfer to safety. Authorities said the kite surfer did not require any medical attention.
