Admittedly, it was kind of weird how things played out — the original game skipped PlayStation while its sequel side-stepped Xbox.

Featuring a memorable HD-2D art style, the game has grown since its 2018 debut with four million copies sold worldwide. As an added bonus, more content has been added to Octopath Traveler 2 in the form of “Extra Battle” mode, which tests your skills against brand-new tough enemies and duking it out with the main characters of the original.
