has rated Octopath Traveler for PS4 and PS5 alongside Octopath Traveler 2 for Xbox Series X and S (which was previously announced). A ratings board approving a game is often a strong signal its release is coming, and more than likely soon.

Octopath Traveler has unusually complex availability. Originally a Nintendo Switch exclusive, the first game later came to PC and Xbox but not PlayStation platforms. Its sequel came straight to Nintendo, PlayStation, and PC, but skipped Xbox altogether.
