Deliverance Discusses His Most Rewarding Moment of the Franchise So Far

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the underdog that took the open-world RPG genre by storm, blowing everyone away with the immersion and depth present in every facet of its gameplay.

In our interview with Luke Dale, the voice of Hans Capon, he spoke about his journey from auditioning for the role to standing in the recording booth and spoke about one of the most rewarding moments he had while working on it.

The voice of Hans Capon talks his rewarding moment.

Dale has had many interesting experiences while recording for Warhorse Studios’ beloved medieval action RPG. When we interviewed him about his experience, we asked about which one he’d consider one of the most rewarding and memorable for him:

Recording the announcement trailer was very special. 4AM, freezing cold, Kutna Hora (Kuttenberg), huge film crew working their butts off. What an experience that was!

For context, the franchise’s sequel was announced just around a month ago. Unconfirmed rumors were the only hint, and Embracer shutdowns led fans to be worried that Warhorse wouldn’t make it. Thankfully, the studio made the cut.

In the announcement video, Dale makes a special appearance, which is what he’s referencing in his answer.

The weather might’ve been freezing cold, but it would have been well worth it for the many fans who were absolutely shocked and delighted to see the sequel was ready and coming soon.

Dale explained that he had to stay quiet on the announcement for “three damned years,” and he was told right before the pandemic had shut the *** down. The wait wasn’t easy for him:

It was excruciating not being able to share the news for that long. But the countless trips to the Czech Republic certainly helped.

The wait is finally over for him, while the wait for players starts. More information on the title will most likely be revealed at the upcoming Summer Game Fest, so stay tuned.

Dale’s story of how he scored the role of Capon for Kingdom Come: Deliverance is quite different.

We asked Dale how his audition for the role went, and he explained that he did it via self-tape and had to hold himself back from laughing:

My friend helped me ****** the tape, I couldn’t stop laughing at his silly face, maybe this brought an added dimension to the audition, who knows?

The tape was a success, and he was asked to read more for the role. It was a done deal after that, and he was finalized as Capon.

There wasn’t a lot of improvisation involved while voicing Capon, as Dale didn’t want to step on the writers’ toes.

However, he got to play some villagers and soldiers here and there, and he humorously shares that those roles let him scream out expletives to his heart’s content.
