Modder claims Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection used their work without permission

A modder has claimed that Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection has used some of his work without permission.

Prior to release, modder Iamashaymin claimed that footage of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection that appeared in a trailer suggested that developer Aspyr was using his mod.

Following this, Apsyr released a statement claiming it had “mistakenly” used footage of this mod, and that it was a placeholder. Now, following the full release, players appear to have discovered evidence that prior to a very last-minute patch, the game shipped with the uncredited mod work.

While the current version of the game has removed these animations, Aspyr has yet to comment on how Iamashaymin’s work appeared in the game, despite their claims that they used “no uncredited work” on the remaster project.

According to some players, when the game launched, some modes featured a maximum of three PC servers to accommodate the entire community. This meant that out of the over 20,000 players on PC on launch night, only 192 were able to access some of the game’s modes.
